What is CBT & ACT coaching?

CBT means Cognitive Behavior Therapeutic Coaching and it is a form of coaching that looks in a structured and goal-oriented way the interaction between the individual and the environment, where thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all intertwined and affect each other.

Cognitive Therapeutic Coaching focus is problem solving than in causes, and that we are interested in how our behavior is affected by our thoughts.

ACT means Acceptance and commitment therapeutic Coaching. The goal of ACT Coaching is to increase the quality of life rather than trying to get rid of painful experiences.

Denial is defined as obsession with these experiences, which increases suffering and reduces the possibility of future satisfaction and happiness.

"Acceptance" in the name of this Coaching form refers to an unconditional acceptance of all one's experiences.

ACT Coaching is about changing your approach to your thoughts, which have a positive effect regarding the way you react to situations.

An important widespread ACT Coaching technique is mindfulness, which is about experiencing what is happening, moment by moment, in the very situation you are in, rather than thinking about things that are neither present nor happening in the situation itself.

An important part of ACT coaching is learning to deal with failures and continuing in spite of them.

ACT coaching's eight basic principles that aim to increase the client's psychological flexibility:

  1. Learn to perceive thoughts, feelings, images, etc. as independent objects, rather than part of your identity. Thoughts are just Thoughts give them no value or change your thoughts. Emotions are just emotions based on your Thoughts.

  2. What is real: What is your reality, everyone has different realities, change reality.

  3. What is truth: What is your truth, is there any truth, change trut.

  4. Acceptance: To let thoughts and feelings come and go without denying, fighting or holding on to them.

  5. Contact with the present: Awareness of the present, experience it with openness, interest and receptivity.

  6. To see yourself as an observer. A situation is an experience rather than the content of what happens.

  7. Valued direction: Discovering what is most important to you, rather than what is expected from you.

  8. Goal direction: To set goals according to what you value and implement them with responsibility.

The sessions are an entitled product for wellness and are done virtually.

    EMPOWERED

"I was recommended by a friend to try coaching with Cristina at Skill Insight Sweden and I am so grateful that she did. Every session I walked away with so much more energy, clarity and motivation to make the changes that I wanted and needed in my life. Her smile and positive energy is so infectious and she repeatedly helped me think outside of the box.

Many objectives that I felt were ’unreachable’, ‘too difficult’, too this, too that (excuses) Cristina was able to help me break them down to the point that I was suddenly empowered to take control.

    Thank you very much!”

    ENCOURAGING DISCOVERY

”We all face trouble in our life, but not being able to see the real you kills us. If a person is there supporting you, encouraging you, and helping you discover your unique skills, we can stand up and fight again, even fight harder. Cristina helped me discover the key assets in me that I didn’t even know or believe before. She took me along the myth and equipped me with a new, and bright way to look at myself and appreciate all the strengths I have. I would never have been able to become optimistic and reach my goal so fast without her help. She is a coach and also a life-long-worthy friend. Thank you Cristina!
